Unit Coordinator

May supervise subordinate staff, student employees and/or volunteers.

Major/Essential Functio! ns

• Developing and implementing a strategic communications plan
• Developing and editing alumni communications and publications for external audiences
• Developing marketing materials
• Participating in website design and maintenance
• Developing presentations including graphics
• Producing news releases and publicity
• Pitching news stories and securing media opportunities for faculty and senior administrators
• Monitoring media stories regarding the law school

Occasional Duties

• Coordinates media and marketing events, including press conferences, informational meetings for employees, and online broadcasts
• Maintains the law school’s online content, including both the external website and internal employee intranet
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus one (1) year related experience; OR a combina! tion of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) ! years.

This is a Security Sensitive Level I Position: Applicants for this position will be subject to a criminal background check and may be required to be fingerprinted.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven writing ability and editing skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations or a related field and three years of experience in preparing news releases, professional communications, design, and publicity
• Graphic-design experience and photography expertise a plus
• Experience with social media a plus
