We are currently seeking a Construction Manager to join the team as a member of our growing Southwest Energy Services Division. The Construction Manager is accountable and responsible for all planning, development, assessment, transition management, and resource management of assigned projects.
The qualified candidate will be responsible to:
Project Management
Develop strategies, goals and objectives specific to project execution
Oversee project activities, functions and resource use
Identify and oversee acquisition of required resources
Develop and manage project plans and schedules; scopes of work
Define individual project responsibilities and accountabilities
Serve as primary point of contact with customer during construction
Respond to stakeholder inquiries
Coordinate monthly billings with Accounts Receivable department, including substantia! tion for subcontractor and client satisfaction
Coordinate implementation handoffs between internal departments
Transition project from execution to strategic Operations & Maintenance or Measurement & Verification relationship
Document project and resolve customer service support and billing issues
Mitigate risk on behalf of the company
Deliver accurate and timely business reports
Assist business development team in responding to requests for proposal and bid process Project Controls
Assume financial responsibility for project including accurate, timely and relevant reporting to stakeholders
Facilitate invoice payments from clients and to subcontractors
Review and substantiation of subcontractor billing
Prepare client and subcontractor change orders
Monitor, control and report on the financial performance of projects
Draft subcontracts and purchase agreements
Monitor and proof change issue log Team Management
! Coach and develop members of project team
Mentor assigned project s! taff
Develop project staffing plans to include labor, subcontractors, etc.
Act as steward of McKinstry culture; communicate and influence policies and procedures Qualified candidates will possess the following:
Knowledge of:
Construction management, commercial building process, financial acumen
Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
Working knowledge of scheduling software: Microsoft Project, Primavera and/or Suretrak required.
Intermediate knowledge of construction financial programs and software.
BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering, Architecture or Facilities Management or equivalent field of study required. Four (4) years of experience may substitute for education.
Five (5) years of project management experience in engineering, construction, facilities services required; e! xperience with a General Contractor or Major Mechanical Subcontractor preferred.
PE, CFM, CEM, CPM, LEED professional designations are a plus. WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is a long term project that will be managed from Seminole TX.
Ability and willingness to travel regionally.
Physical ability to walk jobsites in uneven terrain.
Provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office; reimbursed.
