Description
The Floral Supervisor is responsible for providing technical expertise to our store operations team. This position will supervise our East Regions, in! cluding Abilene Wichita Falls and DFW regions. He/She will train and coach in all Floral areas, including but not limited to financial control, sales, merchandising, production, quality control, talent management, safety, maintenance and sanitation. He/She will ensure all Floral Departments are responsible to our guests, build a reputation for outstanding guest service and represent the Floral Department within the community.
Through effective communication and training, guides and directs the Floral team to achieve financial goals and objectives established by the company
Follow-up with the General Manager on floral findings is required each time a store is visited
Train and coach the Floral operations team, including management, designers and clerks
Teach departmental merchandising to enhance profitability
Monitor financial status of the department and make necessary changes, including management, to make sure goals are met
Knowledge and adherence of company policies and procedur! es
Practice and train on the principles of the company Mission Statement
Demonstrate good delegation and follow through skills
Lead by example to achieve proper levels of service
Exercise discretion in handling confidential information
Responsible for maintaining effective and professional relationships with current and future business partners
Responsible for the opening of new and remodeled stores
Must be located in the DFW or Wichita Falls area
Performs other duties as requested or required by upper management
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
Floral design and knowledge of all floral products that are brought into the department
Minimum of 2 years of management experience in a Floral Department
Must have managed floral operation long enough to gain experience in all seasons of the year
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, some o! vernight required
Ability to lead, adapt to and influence change in organizational process and practices
Must have a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record
Proven management, communication and relationship skills
Must be self-motivated and be willing to initiate change
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to perform all physical duties, including but not limited to bending lifting, squatting and climbing
Ability to lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds
Ability to accept change, work independently without supervision and effectively manage time
Ability to function as a team but able to work with little or no supervision
Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
