Tyco Fire Protection Products (TFPP) is currently hiring a Warehouse Manager in Lubbock Texas . The Warehouse Manager will responsible for directing the warehou! se, distribution, inventory management and related operations of the Lubbock warehouse that ships finished goods to regional distribution centers.
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for:
Manage the daily operations of a single distribution warehouse shipping product to regional distribution centers in support of sales. Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Ensure a safe working environment and compliance to EHS regulatory laws and company policies. Manage warehouse and inside sales personnel; including hiring, mentoring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation; develop staffing and compensation plans, monitor productivity; ensure adherence to corporate polices/procedures; develop staffing plans. Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating correc! tive actions, programs, and processes to drive down operating ! expenses.. Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement Oversee inventory management/control, ensuring accuracy, achieving turns goals, proper inventory levels & mix, accurate inventory stock locating, interfacing with Materials group to maintain supply chain consistency. Managing and directing staff in cycle count inventory of all merchandise, recording counts on cycle count sheets and adjusting inventory in system accordingly. Drive and improve customer satisfaction through development of feedback strategies and continuous evaluation of warehouse performance using measurement tools to establish benchmarks. Interface with factory operations and materials planning. Contribute to the success of the corporation by participating in Six Sigma initiatives, suggesting operating improvements processes & productivity, reduce expenses, improve communica! tions, and utilize best business practices in conjunction with corporate policies & procedures
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
College degree in Business, Commerce, or Supply Chain Operations Management/inventory control or equivalent experience - required Minimum 5 years of experience in distribution center or warehouse management. In-depth knowledge of traffic, warehousing, and distribution functions. Extensive knowledge of warehouse or distribution operations including, safety, inventory control, warehouse layout & efficiencies, shipping / receiving processes, expense curtailment, performance evaluation measurements, and a keen sense for customer satisfaction. Broad knowledge of international shipping and trade compliance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Must have computer experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Access. Experienc! e operating warehouse equipment including forklifts. Ability to drive ch! ange and make improvements. Ability to lead and supervise teams and work under tight deadlines. Knowledge of JDE and SAP operating software. Working knowledge of bar coding and RF. APICS certification is a plus. Prior experience in a Six Sigma environment using SS processes is a plus.
