Athletic Trainer

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Description: Texas Tech University is at present recruited Athletic Trainer right now, this job will be delegated in Texas. Works closely with doctors, coaches, student athletes and the Director and/or Assistant Director in the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries for athletes involved in the various Texas Tech Unive! rsity Athletic programs.

Major/Essential Functions

Responsible for all phases of health care, including preventing injuries from occurring, providing initial first aid and injury management, evaluating injuries, designing and supervising a timely and effective program of rehabilitation that facilitates the safe and expeditious return of the athlete to activity.

Occasional Duties

Other duties as assigned by the Head Football Athletic Trainer and Associate Athletic Director of Sports Medicine.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus five years experience as an athletic trainer. Additional related education may substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis. Must be licensed as an athletic trainer within the United States and be expected to obtain a Texas license or certification.

• National Athletic Trainer’s Association Certification
• Previous Football Athletic training experience
