Graduate of an accredited Doctoral level program - AU.D. (or higher).
The Staff A! udiologist has the responsibility of providing audiological care to patients of the Hearing and Speech Care Center of University Medical Center while maintaining the highest level of quality patient care at all times.
Responsibilities include;
Ensure all patients are seen in a timely manner, evaluated professionally, and receive follow-up care as required.
Complete daily documentation and bill each patient for procedures performed.
Demonstrate clinical competency in diagnostic and hearing aid services provided by the Hearing and Speech Care Center.
Participate in clinical education of graduate/undergraduate audiology students and inservice other clinical disciplines as needed.
Assist in the overall direction of the clinic.
Assist in the long and short term budget planning for the HSCC.
Adhere to policies, procedures, and standards of practice as defined by and/or stated by the 1) American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2) American Acade! my of Audiology 3) Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health! care Organization Manual, 3) UMC Standard Policy and Procedure Manual, 5) PM&R Policy and Procedure Manual.
Must hold, or be eligible for a Texas audiology and hearing aid dispensing licensure. Must Hold Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association or has intern license issued by the Texas State Board of Examiner’s for audiology during their clinical fellowship year
