Lead Account Processor

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Performs complex work computing, classifying, recording, and verifying numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records. May supervise subordinate employees.

Major/Essential Functions

• Responsible for tracking and recording incoming wire transfers and ACH transactions
• Responsible for manual entry of positive pay items into bank website, accurate/timely journal vouchers or other finance entries needed for correction, reconciliation or balancing
• Responsible for accurate/timely reconciliation of assigned university bank accounts along with researching and communicating outstanding items to ensure timely resolution of any problems

Occasional Duties

• Responsible for any other projects or duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

Completion of high school or the equivalent with four years progressively responsible experience. May require a typing proficiency of 60 words per minute. Additional education may substitute for required experience on a year for year basis.

This is a Security Sensitive Level I Position: Applicants for this position will be subject to! a criminal background check and may be required to be fingerp! rinted.

• Knowledge of accounting and record-keeping
• Oral and written communication skills
• Able to research and solve problems and complete work in a professional and accurate manner
• Able to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail
• Able to work independently without constant supervision and able to review/maintain large amounts of financial data in spreadsheets
• Strength in time management, organization and customer service skills
• Able to meet deadlines
• Knowledge and experience with Banner, Microsoft Office and Cognos data systems
