Part-time Mortgage Loan Processor
Position Overview Responsible for preparing mortgage documents for funding, advising mortgage lenders of needed documents according to established regulations and procedures and working with the title company towards “closing.â€
Essential Job Functions
Set up new files
Ordering appraisals
Order title commitments and flood certifications
Customer contact regarding conditions required on electronic approval
Send verifications as needed
Process active files for final approval
Re-submit for automated approval after verification of assets and income!
Submit files to human underwriter if needed
After loan approval, call customers and Realtors with any conditions
Issue closing instructions to closing department
Order survey
Order final inspections
Follow up on underwriting conditions still outstanding
Check loan amount, interest rate, etc. in computer for accuracy
Have evidence of POC's
Constantly monitor lock expirations and closings
Inform loan officer immediately of any change in closing date, etc.
Follow up on missed conditions
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of originating FHA,VA and Conventional Loans preferred
3-5 years experience in Loan Origination preferred
High School or GED required; college helpful
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to produce detailed and accurate documents
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work independently without direct supervision
Ability to perform work timel! y and accurately in a fast paced office environment
Organizational ! ability and problem solving critical
Ability to use various computer software programs required
Ability to dress professionally
Professional telephone skills required
Ability to work evening and weekend hours as may be necessary
Ability to strongly support and model our Guiding Principles and embrace Bank culture
Ability to sit at a designated work station for period of time up to eight hours per day
Ability to use hands, or feel office equipment, or controls, talk, hear
Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less for normal working processing
Continuous clarity of vision 20 inches or more for security purposes
Ability to stand, stoop, kneel and crouch
Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds
