Assistant Coach

Description: Texas Tech University is looking of Assistant Coach right now, this occupation will be designated in Texas. Performs responsible work in the development of teams and individual athletes for sports competition in the Intercollegiate Athletics Department under direct supervision of a head coach.
Major/Essen! tial Functions
- Assist in the design and implementation of assigned strength and conditioning programs
- Daily warm-ups, cool down routines for practices, competitions and strength and conditioning workouts
- Administer and evaluate testing procedures and data input for coaches, athletes and staff
- Maintenance and cleanliness of weight room facilities
- Work closely with the internship program and Exercise Science department in scheduling interns, volunteers and practicum students
- Work closely with all sport coaches, athletic trainers, team physicians and communicate any goals or issues with teams or individuals
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree plus three years experience in a responsible coaching position in basketball. Competitive playing experience may substitute for coaching experience and additional experience may exchange for some o! f the education on a year-for-year basis.
