PART I - General Job / Performance Information

Education and Experience - High School Diploma or equivalent. A minimum of one year secretarial or clerical experien! ce preferred. Typing 40-50 wpm required. Medical terminology and CRT knowledge desired.

Environmental / Working Conditions - The work is performed in is a high risk area for exposure to blood borne pathogens. Hours of duty may be irregular to accommodate office schedule. Works inside, in well lighted and ventilated area.

Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships - Communicates and interacts with essentially all departments in hospital. Close relationships with physician clinic staff dealing with scheduling and certification of patients' procedures.

Job Description - Responsible for securing and communicating pertinent information for patient scheduling and documentation. Assists with other duties as assigned.

Required Licensures / Certifications / Registrations - None.

Physical Capabilities - Work is of medium demand; basically sedentary. Near visual acuity, ability to hear and to speak is required. May be requir! ed to escort or direct patients to assigned hospital unit and ! / or transport patients by wheelchair to patient room.
