Description
Work with the Engineering staff to support projects - various activities which may include drawing r! esearch, design review, database management, performance of basic engineering calculations, drawing preparation, field review, inspection and commission testing.. Work as an entry level engineering analyst doing tasks spanning all aspects of power-based operations which may include contract and project management, making process improvement recommendations, supporting requests from operations and maintenance. Through practical field experience and mentoring, successful candidate will gain significant professional confidence and people skills. Expected travel within the state of Texas is estimated at 20% of the work time.
Successful applicant may work out of Lubbock during the school year and Amarillo during the summer.
Position Summary

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an ABET accredited engineering program
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to communicate effectively; both written and verbally
- Must be self- motivated, have good mechanical aptitude, and ability to work well with others
- Course work in power generation or project management and an interest in the power industry desirable

Schedule: Part-time
