Ovations Food Services, LP , an affiliate of Comcast-Spectacor , is currently seeking a talented, motivated, and experienced CATERING MANAGER to oversee our catering and suites food service operations at t! he Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. Signature catering and concessions services are offered in Jones Stadium, United Spirit Arena, Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park, and all other Texas Tech athletic facilities to provide Texas Tech fans with a variety of fresh options to choose from.
The Catering Manager will be responsible for the planning, budgeting, and execution of catering functions while maintaining the highest standards of guest service, compliance, and presentation. The Catering Manager will coordinate work assignments, and assist with the planning of menus and food utilization. The position requires knowledge of principals and processes involved in high-volume banquet/catering planning, coordination, and execution. This includes strategic planning, resource allocation, labor modeling, leadership techniques, and a working knowledge of food production methods. The Catering Manager will provide assistance to the concession managers in the profitable man! agement of concessions operations, as needed.
Requ! irements:
The ideal candidate must have:
A verifiable track record of successful food service operations
A minimum of an Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Candidates must also have a nationally recognized, advanced food service sanitation training course certification (ServSafe)
Additionally, candidates must have a valid Alcohol Service Permit if required by state and/or local county of venue.
Familiarity with inventory cost control, menu planning, has Intermediate computer proficiency, a working knowledge of Point of Sale and timekeeping systems, and a strong sense of urgency with a proactive approach to generate new business and professional relationships.
Strong written and verbal communication in addition to organizational skills and professio! nal presentation
The ability to work a variable schedule and manage effectively in a diverse, fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction essential. Professional certifications are a plus.
