Description: Randstad Engineering is hiring Project Engineer - EPC/Petrochemical / Design Packages / Piping/ASME right now, this position will be settled in Texas. Project Engineer with Oil and Gas and Refinery project experience is needed for a 6-month contract position we! st of Abilene, TX. Local candidates preferred, but mobilization assistance is available to qualifying candidates. This position is mostly an office position with some field work. Must have experience refinery or chemical plant process unit design packages, piping specifications and piping stress analysis.
Now interviewing. Hourly rate depends on education and experience. Responsibilities: - gt; You will assist with managing and leading engineers in production of design packages for process equipment, piping systems, process controls and electric power systems for greenfield and revamp projects - gt; You will manage execution of detail design package engineering production in accordance with industry codes regarding equipment and piping specifications, piping stress, material selection, PandIDs and process control, - gt; Assist in preparing proposals and developing contracts. - gt; Work in Client-Contractor environment as the technical expert with technical knowledg! e oil and gas project engineering, procurement and constructio! n elements.
Requirements: - gt; ,Must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred, and 8+ years related project engineering experience. - gt; Experience working for an engineering firm or EPC is needed with refinery, Oil, Gas and Chemical industry and standards and understanding of engineering, procurement and construction elements of project work. - gt; Must have experience with refinery or chemical process unit design packages including ASME Section VIII and ASME B31.3 design and analysis - gt; Experience with piping flexibility utilizing stress analysis software and knowledge of vessel design software and Instrumentation and Electrical (IandE) unit design packages - gt; Must be a leader with strong technical aptitude, proficiency with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Access) and strong verbal and written communication skills.
