Standing, walking most of the time on duty.
Lifting and pushing patients, carts and wheelchairs. Good tactile sensation necessary for checking patients. Talking and hearing to converse with patients and staff members. Near visual acuity for accurate reading of guages and thermometers and for recording on patients' charts.Skills and AbilitiesThe Nurse Aide Skills Inventory details procedures the employee is expected to perform and must be completed by the end of the 3-month probationary period.
Age specific knowledge is required when needed for appropriate patient care.
