Location: Lubbock, Texas

Description: Harbor Freight Tools USA, Inc. is looking of Retail Floor Personnel right now, this occupation will be dwelled in Texas. Floor Personnel applies basic skills and may develop advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position. Position must have a strong customer service orientation to be su! ccessful.

  • Truck Processing- within established productivity guidelines following Harbor Freight Tools processes and procedures.
  • Purge assigned areas of the Warehouse after truck is 100% processed as directed by Manager on Duty.
  • Reports damaged items that do not meet Harbor Freight Tools specifications to Manager on Duty.
  • Multiple daily meetings with Manager on Duty to ensure 100% compliance with Daily Outs Program.
  • Collaborates with the Manager on Duty to ensure all Endcaps, Clipstrips, Tables and Flats are filled and organized.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and receive information in a manner easily understood by fellow associates.
  • Organize/transport materials and supplies to the Sales Floor using hand or industrial trucks.
  • Maintains store cleanliness and organization throughout the day.
  • Responds to customer questions and assists customers with Carry Ins and Carry Outs.
  • ! Serves support to cashiers.
  • Follows all safety requir! ements of Harbor Freight Tools, the facility, local, State and Federal jurisdictions.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • The ability to meet established productivity and sales goals.

  • Education or Equivalent Experience: High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience

Description of Essential Job Functions:
Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends due to varying freight volumes. Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand as needed. Utilize mobile hand held devices for tracking shipments. Safely climb in and out of trailers. Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs frequently and greater than 75 lbs occasionally). Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope). Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery. Safely walk, reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties. Verify and complete required documentation and reports. Skills & Experience:
Prior dock/warehouse experience in the transportation industry is a plus. Prior forklift experience in a freight / less than truckload environment preferred. Prior experience loading and unloading trailers preferred. At least 18 years of age. Highly motivated individual with attention to detail. Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator. Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.) Ability to bend, twist, squat, pushing/pulling freight throughout shift. Ability to follow instructions and complete required training. Ability to work independently and/or as a team member. Must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation. General Duties:

3. Coordinate with other supervisors to ensure efficient use of labor and materials.
4. Coordinate and monitor t! he work of outside contractors and advise management of specif! ics of proposed or ongoing remodeling and repair projects, timelines, and maintain supporting records as necessary.
5. Conduct frequent and regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify needed repairs to buildings and/or grounds.
6. Sketch rough plans and designs for maintenance projects and provide advice to region officials regarding alternative methods of accomplishing needed work.
7. Prepare reports; maintain records of repair; and prepare estimates of work hours, materials. And resources required for projects.
8. Initiate requisitions for materials and supplies for projects.
9. May participate in the preparation of the budget.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Education - Graduation from a standard senior high school or the equivalent. Formal technical training in one of the building trades is preferred or college a strong plus.
Experience â€" Four (4) or more years Fac! ility Maintenance work experience in one (1) or more skilled trades (frame or finish carpentry, plumbing, sanitation, painting, etc.) in construction and/or maintenance and repair of large office buildings, including six (6) months in a supervisory or team lead role. Two (2) years in a supervisory or team lead role is preferred.
Technical school training in a skilled construction trade (frame or finish carpentry, plumbing, sanitation, painting, etc.) may substitute for the required work experience with six (6) months of full-time training equal to one (1) year work experience up to a maximum of one (1) year of training. If training is used to substitute for the required experience the completed training certificate or transcript is required.
Licenses and/or certifications - Valid driver license from state of residence.
Regulatory knowledge - Thorough knowledge of building maintenance/construction in designated skilled trades and some knowledge in other related b! uilding trades. Be able to read, analyze and interpret construction, bl! ueprint and schematic documents, technical procedures, or building code regulations and have knowledge of building/life safety codes and safe workplace practices, such as lockout procedures. Basic understanding of building codes such as Fire Codes, American with Disabilities Act, etc. or ability to learn how they apply to facilities. Knowledge of firearm and ballistic safety procedures. Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to the affiliated program areas such as administration and management techniques, budget and procurement processes.
Analytical skills - Gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts and devise solutions to problems. Identify measures or indicators of program performance. Ability to prioritize tasks and handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
