As a Citizen Soldier, you are employed by the Department of Army as a civilian working a normal full-time workweek with all the benefits available to a Federal service employee to include health and life insurance, retirement and Thrift Savings Plan, and accrual of leave (annual, sick and military). When duty calls, you can proudly put on the uniform as a military service member of the United States Army Reserve and receive the pay and benefits associated with the military assignment. As a member of the United States Army Reserve, you are required to perform military duty one weekend a month and at least fourteen days a year of annual training. In your civilian position, you perform w! ork in direct support of the US Army Reserve in an administrat! ive, professional or maintenance related position. As a US Army Reserve Military Technician, you are a vital link in the chain of command of the United States Army Reserve and civil service, working with professionals like yourself at locations around the world or as close as next door. As a civilian Military Technician you are one of the most important keys to combat readiness; as an Army Reservist you have the opportunity to perform military duty to defend and to serve your country by performing military duty when needed.

This position is located at: 63rd Regional Support Command, Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) 11, Lubbock, Texas.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
THIS POSITION REQUIRES MEMBERSHIP IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR).
The business travel requirement is 10 percent.

To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least
one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience is defined as: work that involves preparing or
reviewing reports; and reviewing changes to administrative policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work
performed at the next lower gr! ade in the federal service (GS-05) .
You will be evaluated on ! the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:

an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Governments interest.
New Army Reserve Military Technicians may be authorized moving expenses ! to their first official duty station. To be eligible to receive moving ! expenses, you must be a newly appointed Federal civilian employee or have a minimum of a 3 day break in service from previous Federal civilian employment.

You will be asked a series of questions to determine your eligibility, qualification, and quality ranking for this position. If your responses to the eligibility and qualification questions result in a determination that you are not eligible or not qualified, you will receive no fur! ther consideration. Basis for Rating : Qualified candidates will be assigned to one of three quality categories: Best Qualified, Highly Qualified and Qualified. Veteran preference eligibles are listed ahead of non-preference eligibles within each quality category.
