Maintenance/ EHS Manager

Description: ML Staffing is currently interviewing Maintenance/ EHS Manager right now, this position will be settled in Texas. The EHS/Maintenance Manager will be providing site leadership for EHS programs, facilities/Grounds/Operational Maintenance and site security. Directly manages the Maintenance Supervisor and indirectly manages al! l maintenance and facilities personnel.
Other responsibilities include:
- Providing the overall leadership to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and related regulations, including Tyco policies and procedures.
- Plans, develops, administers, and manages organization safety policies, programs and training.
- Manages the maintenance of records on accidents and prepares appropriate reports. Audits facility and operations and investigates accidents. Recommends and/or initiates changes to mitigate hazard and repeat accidents.
- Responsible for plant and office physical security. Conduct or oversee training for personnel on safety, health and environmental issues. Provides advice on safety and protection, and carries out audits to ensure that organization and government standards on environment, health and safety are met.
- Responsible for the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and operations. Prepares cost estimates for renova! tions, expansions, etc. Monitors utility systems to ensure ful! l and efficient operations. Initiates cost saving measures in all areas of responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field such as engineering or technology.
- Knowledge, experience, training in advanced manufacturing equipment, machinery and systems is needed.**
- Requires hands on applicable working knowledge of federal and state safety laws and the ability to identify and evaluate workplace hazards.
- In-depth knowledge of typical manufacturing safety related policies, procedures, systems or functions is required.
- Strong equipment maintenance and repair knowledge to include technical understanding of advanced manufacturing equipment, machinery and systems, including PLCs, servo-controlled systems, and robotics.
